Honeymoon in Bhutan
Dear Friends and Family,
In light of the recent tragedy in Nepal, we would like to offer an option via our travel registry (link below) to make charitable donations toward the relief effort. Any funds we receive in this category through our website will be passed on to the American Red Cross. People in the region are suffering greatly, and although we do hope to visit sometime next year, we want to make a direct connection with the efforts to alleviate the suffering right now. We would like to encourage anyone who is considering making a contribution to our travel registry to choose this option. Of course, we support direct donations (not through our Zola page) as well—no explanation of missing wedding gift necessary. Seriously. Many thanks for your generosity.

In lieu of toasters, linens, blenders and lamps, we ask that if you’d like to give us a wedding gift, that you choose something from our travel registry. Both of us want to visit the fabled land of Bhutan, and we ask that you help us make our dream a reality. Our intention is to take a 21-day trek through the Himalayas, visiting villages and Buddhist sites along the way.
Prior to leaving on our trip, artist and friend Keith Wilde will create handmade postcards of original art that we will take with us on our journey, and these we will send as thank-you notes to our friends and family from the various locations that you “gift” to us. In other words, gift us a Yak Ride and we’ll write your personalized postcard from the back of the yak; give us a portion of our Plane Fare, and we’ll write you a card from 30,000 feet up. You get the idea. If you are so inclined, please visit our trip registry at https://www.zola.com/registry/liznrussell.
